196+ hotelforum Munich: 28 hotels from 12 countries are competing for the European “Hotel Property Award 2021”
Munich, 23 August 2021 – 28 hotels from 12 European countries have applied this year for the “Hotel Property Award 2021”, which will be presented on Wednesday, 13 October as part of the hybrid 196+ hotelforum conference. The framework of this year’s event, in which the individual applicants and especially the competition finalists will be presented and receive awards, will also be characterised by the new umbrella brand 196+.
14 applicants come from Germany, and the other hotels are from the following eleven countries: Austria (3), Croatia (1), Denmark (1), Estonia (1), France (1), Greece (1), Italy (1), the Netherlands (1), Poland (1), Switzerland (2) and Spain (1).
Andreas Martin, Chairman of the jury: “We are very happy about the high level of international participation in the competition, with 28 entrants from 12 European countries! The interdisciplinary expert jury will be faced once again with the exiting task of selecting up to ten nominees from among a highly heterogeneous group of 28 applicants.”
The “Hotel Property Award” welcomes applications from hotels which were completed and opened in Europe between January 2020 and July 2021. Up to ten nominees will be selected from among all the complete applications at the jury meeting which will be held at the beginning of September. The jury will be looking for an interplay between the following categories: architecture and design, integration into the project environment, sustainability and technical innovation, the originality of the concept, as well as cost-effectiveness.
