We are also happy to share with you some highlights from the recently held MIPIM UK in London and the Annual Hotel Conference in Manchester:

Adam Maclennan, Managing Director PKF hotelexperts Ltd, attended and moderated the panel: Diversification in hospitality: trends, developments and investment opportunities at MIPIM UK on 15 October 2019 at the Old Billingsgate Market in London. Panellists Ryan Prince, Vice Chairman Realstar Group, Roman Kulik, Development Manager, Zoku; Matt Walton, Development Director UK&I, IHG; and Chin Lim, Vice President, HKS, had a lively discussion covering the latest trends and headwinds to impact the UK hotel industry. Of particular interest was the increasing use of multiple use classes in one building.

Three of the PKF team also attended the Annual Hotel Conference in Manchester on 8 and 9 October 2019. The mood at the conference was still relatively good, despite some concern surrounding Brexit uncertainty. Demand growth in the UK remains strong but some markets are starting to feel the effects of new supply entering the market.
