Professional Experience

Simon C. Winker joined PKF hospitality group in 2022. Based in Zurich, he is responsible for project development with a focus on Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Simon currently holds the position of Managing Director | Head of Project Development at PKF hospitality group. The architect and urban planner previously worked for Implenia Schweiz AG, Zurich Insurance Company and most recently for Eiffage Suisse AG.

He has a diploma in Architecture from the Technical University Munich and is a graduate in French language and literature from the Sorbonne in Paris. He completed his postgraduate studies in Area Planning at the ETH Zurich. He is Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) London and from 2006 to 2017 he served as the President of the Alvar Aalto Association in Helsinki for the Swiss Branch. From 2007 to 2015 he was appointed assistant professor at the Swiss Real Estate School (SVIT) in real estate development and project management as well as lecturing in Munich at the EU Business School Munich in Architecture & Hotel Design Management.

He has many years of experience in the development, conception, and realization of challenging real estate projects with a focus on hospitality.

His main task is to provide expert support to clients throughout the entire cycle of a hotel project development. This includes, the preparation of room and function programs, architect briefings, planning optimizations, investment cost estimates, interior design tenders and ongoing project monitoring.
